Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What makes Construction Safety Experts stand out?

When Construction Safety Experts was first created in 1996, there weren’t many third-party safety companies around. Our founder, Terry Young, wanted to create a tight-night community of safety managers that could provide their safety services across the United States. Construction Safety Experts started as a family owned and operated business and still is today. Because of this, we pride ourselves on prioritizing quality over quantity. We aim to provide only the best safety professionals simply by focusing on creating and nurturing genuine connections with not only them but also our clients.

With CSE, there are no hoops to jump through. We are quick to communicate and aim to get the job done correctly and efficiently.

In which industries does Construction Safety Experts operate?

Construction Safety Experts operates in all areas of work in the industrial construction industry. Some of the industries include the following:

  • Pharmaceutical
  • Government Projects, including dams
  • Data Centers
  • Steel Erection
  • Airports

How does Construction Safety Experts vet their safety managers?

It’s important to us at Construction Safety Experts that we provide safety managers that best fit your needs. While we do pride ourselves on our established roster of safety professionals, we sometimes have to outsource. In that case, we take our time to get the know the individual by:

  • Getting to know the safety professional on a personal level
    • Personality and character are imperative when it comes to working on a jobsite and being a part of a bigger team
  • Requesting proof of relevant job experience and certifications
    • We ask for all relevant information regarding previous work experience and any relevant certifications/skills. We also utilize bcsp.org to verify certifications are current and valid.
  • Utilizing a background check service when necessary
  • Utilizing referrals as necessary
    • Construction Safety Experts aims to only use referrals from individuals we trust in the industry.

Why use third-party for your safety needs?

Third-party safety has many benefits. Some of them include the following:

  • Unbiased eyes and ears on your industrial construction project
  • Gives you access to highly-specialized individuals involved in specific trades
  • Helps ensure your company is fully compliant in OSHA safety procedures and practices
  • Reduces risk for your company

What certifications and skill sets does Construction Safety Experts’ roster of candidates hold?

Construction Safety Experts’ roster of highly-skilled safety managers exhibits a range of certifications and degrees. While every safety manager is different, we look for individuals with at least a few of the following certifications (depending on the current client and project needs):

  • OSHA 10, 30, 510, 500
  • NFPA 70E, EM385-1-1, CPR/AED
